Each month Pole Play offers a different Workshop/one-time Teaser Class:
- by far our most popular workshop...and most fun! You will learn how to give a raunchy lap dance, including acrobatic tricks to perform on that someone special and a choreographed routine. High Heels optional. Lap Dance is an all over body workout.
Come alone, bring a girlfriend or bring your man to practice on. This workshop runs about 1 hour in duration.
- you will learn a choreographed dance to Tom Jones's "You Can Leave Your Hat On." Ladies are asked to wear workout attire and to bring a practice bra and panty to wear OVER their workout attire. You will also need gloves (any will do for practice), a big button down shirt, a skirt, and a hat (any hat will do for practice). High Heels optional. This routine is a great cardio workout, fun and sexy.
Ladies only please. This workshop runs about 1 hour in duration.
- This workshop is very different from the dance classes Pole Play offers. It is not fitness oriented, but rather, it teaches you all the little dirty moves we don't practice in class but you may see in a club. Naughty Girls only! Please wear workout attire to this workshop, no shoes, no jewelry. This workshop is a great core, butt and leg workout. Ladies only please. This workshop runs a little over 1 hour in duration.
- In this workshop you will learn a choreographed routine using small, hand held feather fans to the burlesque song "Let's Do It.' Want to dance like Sally Rand? You will get the opportunity to try the large feather fans as well for a great arm workout. Ladies only please. This workshop runs 1 hour in duration.
- This is a one time class to learn how to hula hoop with adult-sized, weighted hula hoops designed to stay up on your waist. If you already know how to hoop, then you will learn tricks with your hula hoop and how to dance with it on your neck, chest, arms, waist, hips/butt, thighs, knees and feet. We will play games and have tons of fun while working out and getting fit. Great for cardio, core and an all over body workout. Due to limited space at Pole Play, this particular workshop is not held at Pole Play. Instead we rent out the Brounshidle Post at 3354 Delaware Avenue in Kenmore and hold the workshop in the main room. This workshop is open to both men and women. Hoops will be provided. Hoop Dance runs 1.5 hours in duration.
- This workshop will teach you how to properly stretch and will focus on flexibility training using partners. Stretching burns calories and is very healthy for the body. It is open to both men and women. This workshop runs 1 hour in duration.

“I joined Pole Play
for a fun way to workout. I mistakenly thought it
would be easy to swing around a pole. I was pleasantly
surprised at the incredible workout I got in my arms,
legs and abs! I was sore for a full week after my
first class. Now I can go upside down on the pole
and perform more difficult tricks. I have gained
a world of confidence in myself after almost thirty-five
years of feeling insure. Thank you to Pole Play for
getting me into better shape and boosting my self
esteem.”
“I have a whole new respect for exotic dancers after having tried pole
work!”
Hi Chelsea! The workshop on Friday was a lot of fun! I can't
tell you how much I’m enjoying the classes, and it doesn't even matter that
I don't know what I’m doing! I laugh and feel girly and relaxed...
and if I come out of this with a greater self-confidence it doesn't even
matter to me if I master the spins!! Although, it does matter, which
is why I’m going to persevere! Anyway, I’m happy that there
is a class out there that is just for me! It’s one of the few kinds
of gym classes that I’ve ever signed up for where I didn't feel
inferior or feel like I didn't belong! Thanks to you!
Thanks, Chelsea! Now I'm telling my friends to throw away all
their self help books and join me at Pole Play. It is the answer to gaining
real self confidence, self esteem and a sensational total fitness
workout.
Hey there Chels! I had to email you and tell you how much fun I had
last night. I was so nervous on my way to the studio and when I left I couldn't
take the smile off of my face. You are an incredibly talented instructor! I think
my mouth was hanging open when you were doing your routine. It was AWESOME!!!
I can't wait until next week.
The other thing that I wanted to say was that I'm really proud of you. You have
created a place where people can experience something outside their comfort zone
and make it a comfort. You were so kind, gentle, clear, understanding and loving
during the whole experience. Thank you for that. You are an inspiration.
